How they work

Astawus learns by building: studying Git and GitHub, connecting PHP and SQL backends to frontends, testing ideas in small projects, and publishing the result. The stack has expanded from HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and SQL to React, Node.js, Tailwind CSS, React Native, Expo, TypeScript, MongoDB, and Mongoose.

The journey.

  1. Feb – Mar 2025

    The Small-Project Sprint

Astawus started with animated HTML, CSS, and JavaScript pages, then moved through GitHub, backend practice, and a run of beginner projects. March brought a ToDo page, games, a calculator, and a stopwatch—each one a new excuse to practice by making.

    Make It Public

The experiments grew into public-facing pages. Astawus built and launched Holiday page and EasterChat, then returned from a break with a renewed focus on small steps, practice, and a project built without AI-generated code.

    ODA and the Mobile Turn

ODA became the channel's big product chapter, moving through deployment, login fixes, Telegram access, and an open-source cleanup. Soon after, Astawus announced a first mobile app going into deployment.

    Products, Not Just Practice

MovieMate arrived as a cross-platform streaming product, while later posts turned toward product design, AI, craftsmanship, and solving the user's problem rather than obsessing over the tools underneath. The channel's code posts kept the workshop door open.
