helina.commit
A software student's commit log of LeetCode solutions, hackathon recaps and internship links, posted as they come.
Software student Committing thoughts , progresses as they come
helina.commit started in February 2026 with a post that opens "first commit." and has posted every week since. The early weeks lean on a LeetCode log, working through the LeetCode and Codeforces problems A2SV shares, often with a short note on the approach. Around that sit hackathon recaps, internship links and plenty of light dev-life jokes in English with a sprinkle of Amharic.
- The channel has posted at least once a week for 37 weeks running, and the streak is still going.
- Its favorite word is "leetcode".
- Lately it averages 7.1 posts a week.

First commits
The channel opens with "first commit." and quickly settles into a numbered LeetCode log, from #1 Merge Strings Alternately in February to #28 by the end of March. A mid-March post explains the plan: work through the LeetCode and Codeforces problems A2SV shares and track progress here.

Hackathon days
An International Women's Day event at ALX Ethiopia comes with a hackathon and an AI and machine learning workshop. A month later comes a hospitality-themed hackathon, joined on a last-minute decision, where the team worked on something for investors, resorts and hotel owners and submitted at the last minute.

QA mode
July brings tester humor, like the plea to just fix the bug already reported, plus a practical note that test code pays off for repetitive test cases, not one-off tests. It also passes along opportunities, like AWS sponsoring selected students and early-career builders to attend re:Invent for free.

The opportunity board
From September the feed doubles as an opportunity board: the Ethiopian CyberShield 2026 CTF, a Google internship in London, Amazon internships and a free Git course with a certificate. In between, there is a joke about spending an afternoon adding bugs to a project.

A practical note on when writing test code is worth the time.
wouldn't suggest it for one-off tests, though. It's most useful when you have repetitive test cases you'll run over and over, since writing the test code takes...
