Merry Exploring calls itself a place for draft ideas, AI discoveries, opportunities and things worth saving, with nothing too polished. Its opportunity posts cover internships and fellowships, usually with a deadline and a link. Some posts are short explainers, from APA 7th edition paper formatting to Explainpaper, an AI tool that explains hard papers in simple words. In between, it passes along launches from other builders' channels, like a Telegram client for feature phones.

    The opportunity board

The channel opened in March 2026 with a welcome post promising ideas, AI notes and opportunities. Early posts lined up an undergraduate internship at INSAIT, the Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship and a women-only Kifiya AI Mastery cohort, next to explainers on APA 7th edition and Explainpaper. Late April brought a post from the AI4SD 2026 conference, attended as a showcase presenter.

  2. May – Aug 2026

    Good mornings and Git internals

From May the feed got chattier, with plenty of good-morning and good-night posts. A June dev note on learning to love the command line grew out of reading about Spring Boot and Git internals, and a July OS joke passed 1,000 views. August brought forwards of other builders' launches, like TeleLite, a Telegram client for feature phones, and a 90-day Backend Mastery roadmap.

  3. Sep – Oct 2026

    Hikes, hackathons and shoutouts

September brought a recap of an almost 21 km community hike, the most-viewed post in the sample, and a nudge to read the privacy side of the 1980s AI photo trend. The channel passed 150 members and shared calls like the OSF x Andela hackathon and Builders Lab 2.0. October leaned into shoutouts, forwarding launches such as the spots app and the focus app Nuzz.

A dev note on why the command line still matters in the age of vibe coding.

A funny take on the 1980s AI photo trend that turns into a real privacy point.
