Freelancing and dev lessons that grew into the launch log for AwraAI, a voice-to-text app that takes the pain out of typing Amharic.

Noorify opened in April 2026 to share freelancing experience, software development, AI tools and side projects. Early posts lean on short pep talks, like the reminder that the value you bring matters more than the hours you log. From late August the big story is AwraAI, the channel's own voice-to-text app for Amharic, English and Arabic, shipped on desktop and then on Google Play. Between launches there's a post on going through a study about AI in software development from the no-AI group, which turned out much harder than expected.

    Morning commits

The channel introduces itself as a home for freelancing, software development, AI tools and side projects. Early posts are short nudges, like a commit message reading 'small progress is still progress', and a Picasso story asking whether work should be priced by the hour or by the years of experience behind it.

    Badge unlocked

June brings two bigger work stories: going through a study on how AI impacts software development from the no-AI group, and earning Upwork's Top Rated badge, called only a first milestone. In July the channel recommends Harvard CS50 for learning computer science from scratch, and Evangadi for learning in Amharic.
