Thinks out loud about AI and how people learn, then builds things like an offline alternative to freeCodeCamp.

RVstez writes opinionated notes on AI, from treating it as a Co-Actor rather than the Actor to coining its own term, Hybrid Craftsmanship. It also digs into the science of learning, unpacking the Curse of Knowledge and why studying isn't the same as learning. Lately it has been shipping too: Better-FreeCodeCamp, an offline alternative to freeCodeCamp.org, launched in October 2026, and a recent post teases its most sophisticated project yet.
- Averages 6.3 posts a week.

Co-Actor Season
In November 2025 the channel introduced itself as a home for a developer's journey and takes on tech trends, then went straight at AI. It argued for using AI as a Co-Actor rather than the Actor, coined Hybrid Craftsmanship for letting AI handle the repetitive work, and described RAG as giving AI "a live internet connection and a librarian's brain."

Down the Ge'ez Rabbit Hole
In September 2026 the channel began a linguistics research project on Ge'ez and how Amharic stems from it, out of fascination with how complex the two languages are. Days later it was defining the research scope, with an article of findings promised at the end.

Shipping Season
In late September 2026 the channel built an offline mini site from freeCodeCamp's Relational Databases course, vibe-coded an MVP, then overhauled it so others could use it; it launched as Better-FreeCodeCamp in October. Kron was shared in early October, the September roundup listed a first client project, and a recent post teases the most sophisticated project yet.

Where the channel coins Hybrid Craftsmanship: you do the thinking, AI does the repetitive work.
Something to add on the brain builder tasks: Most people think AI just makes you work faster. Honestly, that’s the least interesting part. When you use AI eve...

Why the channel stopped dodging em dashes just because people read them as a sign of AI.
Because of the growing number of people who blindly assume that any writing containing an em dash (—) is AI-written, I’ve been trying really hard to avoid using...

In their own words.
There's always a serene satisfaction with building things that solve your own problems.
when something is completely mine, the satisfaction is cosmic.
Fresh from the channel.
Currently working on my most sophisticated project ever.
I used to think that the prime ministers knew every damn language on earth. And of course, that was back when I was younger.
The reason I think it is one of the best times to enter the mathematics field is because the community as a whole knows that it needs to change, and so many people are looking back for guidance and examples on what that change should be. So...
"Good-looking" designs are the new form of slop, it's all tasteless after all.
Most people see the sloppiness in what AI makes through the designs, but in reality, every aspect of it is as sloppy @RVstez
This was a cool game.
